Filmgoers in Poland can unite with over 100,000 people and join the Global Critics Circle when the MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival takes place in Kino Pod Baranami.

This year the Festival received 598 Entries from 48 Countries and of these we selected 10 Films which are Finalists for this years Festival ( See titles listed below) . These Films will screen over 700 times in over 200 Cities spanning 6 Continents during One Week.

You Be The Judge! Audiences at each venue will be handed a voting card and asked to vote for the ONE Film they think should win. Votes will be sent to MANHATTAN SHORT HQ where the winner will be announced on October 2nd at 10pm (US time) and posted on the website at ManhattanShort.com.

With some of our past Finalists going on to achieve Oscar Nominations and even winning the coveted Oscar in the short film category and moving into the feature film industry, MANHATTAN SHORT is your chance to not only see the next generation of filmmakers from around the world, but to vote on them as well.

INCIDENT BY A BANK

Synopsis: Ilinka is 14 years old. She has been living in Switzerland for a year with her Moldavian Mother and Aunt. Ilinka just gave birth to a boy. Ilinka's mother has heard about a box where unwanted babies can be deposited.

HOW THE VOTING WORKS
You're Part of the Global Critic's Circle
At each venue you'll be handed an official program and a voting card upon entry. After the last film has screened you'll be ask to vote for the ONE film you think is best. You hand your voting card in back to the cinema, votes will be sent to MANHATTAN SHORT HQ where the winner will be announced on October 2nd at 10pm (US time) and posted on the website at ManhattanShort.com.
