Dwóch młodych politycznych aktywistów, Murad i Emin, planuje pokojową, „pomarańczową” rewolucję w Azerbejdżanie. Inspiracje czerpią z podobnych rewolt w Serbii, Gruzji i na Ukrainie, gdzie masowe protesty po sfałszowanych wyborach odsunęły od władzy autorytarne reżimy. W Azerbejdżanie dochodzi do drastycznych naruszeń praw człowieka. Jednak Zachód nie czeka na pokojową rewolucję w tym kraju. Azerbejdżan to muzułmański sojusznik w „wojnie z terroryzmem”, a zachodnie koncerny inwestują biliony dolarów w tutejszy przemysł naftowy. Czy jest tu szansa na „pomarańczowy” przewrót?

Two young political activists, Murad and Emin, are planning to stage a peaceful ‘Orange’ revolution in Azerbaijan. They are inspired by similar revolts in Serbia, Georgia and the Ukraine where mass protests following rigged elections removed authoritarian regimes from power. Azerbaijan has a dismal human rights record. Yet, the West is not in favour of a revolution here. Azerbaijan is a Muslim ally in the ‘war on terror’ and western companies are investing billions of dollars in its oil infrastructure. Is there a chance for an ‘Orange’ revolution here?
