Kino Pod Baranami

Father Mother Sister Brother is a brilliant, multi-layered story about the different facets of family relationships. Jim Jarmusch's new film will be screened in Kino Pod Baranami as part of the English-language Cinemino series on Wednesday, January 21st, at 6:30 PM.
Cinemino is a series of screenings for international audiences, during which viewers from around the world come together to watch the latest Polish and international productions. Each meeting consists of a film screening at Kino Pod Baranami and an informal post-screening discussion at Betel Club. The event is held in English, and the films are shown either in English, or with English subtitles. The upcoming event will feature a screening of Father Mother Sister Brother directed by Jim Jarmusch.
The new film from the master of American independent cinema is a brilliantly observed, precisely composed triptych about family relations and what drives us apart. Winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, the story unfolds in three countries and explores familial bonds from different perspectives. Jarmusch's film stars Cate Blanchett, Adam Driver, Tom Waits, Vicky Krieps, and Charlotte Rampling.
Father Mother Sister Brother is a collection of subtle, humorous, yet melancholic portraits of human characters. As Jim Jarmusch himself observed: Father Mother Sister Brother is a kind of anti-action film, its subtle and quiet style carefully constructed to allow small details to accumulate – almost like flowers being carefully placed in three delicate arrangements.
The Cinemino series is hosted by Krzysztof Bielski (Jagiellonian University) and Małgorzata Mączko (Kino Pod Baranami).
